The dumps of the Junostollen are located in the "Elpetal", close to Wiggeringhausen, on the eastern slopes of the Hülsberg. The Junostollen belonged to an old lead mine, which was allready active in 1840 and which was closed in 1911. The mine was operating on the Bastenberg-Dörnberg-Gangzug, in the central part of the mining area around Ramsbeck.

If you drive down the road from Gevelinghausen to Elpe, you can spot the dumps on the slopes of the Hülsberg, lying on the right side from the road. It takes a 10-15 minute walk up the mountain to reach the dumps. Most of the dump is recultivated, but one small part is still free and it is still possible to do some finds.

I visited this locality on July 25th 2010 and I´m sure I found some Quartz, some Marcasite, some Dolomite and perhaps some more minerals, but some of the pieces I brought need further determination. If you are visiting this locality, be sure to visit the dumps from the Plutostollen, which are located just a few hundred meters north of the Juno dumps.
